Julia was raised in southern Maryland, and currently lives in Takoma Park, MD with her boyfriend John and pet snake, Tess. She attended St. Mary’s College of Maryland where she graduated with an English major in ‘07. During her time at college, she cultivated a love for environmental literature and writing. Her favorite authors include Barbara Hurd and Steven J. Bernstein. She loves to write, sing (loudly), and secretly wishes that she will learn how to play the ukulele during the OGA road trip.  She hopes that this forum can give people (including herself) a chance to sort out their feelings and thoughts about the rise of green culture in America.
