John was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He studied photography and lighting design at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. While in school, he became involved in a community with a strong focus in sustainability. As of this writing, he lives in Takoma Park, MD (an epicenter for liberal activism), and works as the exhibition coordinator for the Corcoran College of Art + Design. After the Our Green America expedition, John plans to attend Brooks Institute of Photography in pursuit of an MFA.
