6/16/09: Skateland in Fargo held a Gay Skate for Pride Week. The GLBT community was invited to come out, there was a silent auction, and Pride shirts were on sale. It was great because there was a definite gay presence, but families and regualr attendees of Skateland also turned out and intermingled. Pride Week is sustainable because it promotes awareness of minority groups within our population who are often stereotyped and discriminated against.
