3/7/09: There were more Alligators in the Everglades than I thought possible, especially considering the state of other animal populations. It turns out that massive restrictions were put on alligator hunting a liitle while back because their numbers were so low. THis is one of those success stories where a little change like taht can make a populaiton bounce back. In fact, the alligator population is doing so well now that it's eating everything else, so they'll need to increase hunting.
